Camphor
Camphor
is the resin of a tree originally from South of China (Cinnamomum
camphora). It is related with the cinnamon tree. Camphor tree
lives for more than 200 years, reaches 50 metres in height, and it
contains antibiotics and anti-microbes. Camphor is one of the
oldest medicine in the world. Chinese and Indians consider it a
miracle. They would say it had increased the energy of other
plants (mixture). It stimulates the flood of energy.
Together with Venetian theriac, camphor is the only component of
Swedish bitter who cannot be substituted by any other plant.
Venetian thebaic is an alchemical remedy obtained from the larch
tree resin (Larix decidua). Camphor regulates heart and nervous
system activity, it clears out the breathing tube and the lungs,
and it decreases fever. The resin also have the property to carry
and spread all curative features of the plants within the entire
body. It cures asthma, rheumatism, flu, hyper-blood pressure, etc.
Camphor alcohol
It is the simpler
and the most common medicine based on camphor. It is meant for
both internal and external use. It is obtained by dissolving
camphor crystals into alcohol (96 degrees), a ratio of 1:9. In
order to obtain 100 g of product, mix 10 g of camphor and 90 g of
alcohol, put them into a bottle, cap it and stir the product
well, until they mix. Use 50 drops for internal use, 3-4 times a
day; for external use, use compress or massage.
Camphor gel
One
can prepare it from grease (about 10 spoons) and camphor crystals
(10 g). Put the camphor into a pot, add 1-2 teaspoon of alcohol
(96 degrees), crush the camphor and mix
it until it is dissolved. Then, add swine grease and mix it. Keep
it in the refrigerator then, use it on the harmful spot/area. Or
one can buy the gel from a chemists' shop. The gel is mixed with
lanolin and vaseline.
Potion for heart and nervous
system
It is an old receipt which has been
recently used in Western countries. It is obtained by camphor and
hawthorn tincture. The tincture should be prepared as follows:
fill half jar with powder (ground it with the electrical coffee
blender), obtained from hawthorn flowers and
leaves (Crataegus sp.) and alcohol (70 degrees). Seal the jar and
let the mixture soak for 8 days; then, filter it and put it into a
sealed bottle (dark colour). For half litre of tincture, use a
teaspoon (almost 7 g) of camphor and mix it. Take 3-4 teaspoons a
day, on empty stomach.
It
cures: - heart palpitation,
hyper-blood pressure - take the potion in case of heart and
nervous system problems: one teaspoon four times a day (8 a.m., 12
a.m., 6 p.m., 10 p.m.). The cure should last for three months,
make a three weeks- break and repeat it, if needed. Is is a
perfect remedy for restless, nervous, hot-tempered or anxious
people. - menopause disorders
(sweating, arrhythmia, nervousness, etc.): take one teaspoon,
three times a day. The cure should last for one year and it
regulates your hormones and nerves. Persons who have addiction for
hormonal medicine have succeeded in substituting it with this
remedy. - premenstrual syndrome, abundant menstruation or pains
- take camphor alcohol one week before menstruation and continue
taking it until the last day: one teaspoon, four times a day. -
it regulates gonads, it is a good aphrodisiac and has perfect
results in case of pregnancy prevention. - sexual disturbance
(male) - take one teaspoon, four times a day, in order to
stop premature ejaculation or hyper-excitation. Also use a special
gel against premature ejaculation, for reducing over-excitement. -
psychical tiredness - use it for the heart and the nervous system:
2-3 teaspoons a day, on empty stomach.
For external
use: - rheumatism - use gel, 2-3 times a day, on painful
articulations. - bronchitis, asthma, pneumonia - mix common
gel with a few drops of mint volatile oil (you can buy it from any
natural products shop). Massage the thorax (chest and back). It
stimulates and improves breathing. It is perfect against cough. -
skin itches - mix the camphor alcohol with a few drops of mint
volatile oil. Massage the skin. - headaches - massage the nape
and temples. - muscle cramps - massage the harmful area. Quack
medicine - in winter, take a small piece of camphor into a
small bag and hang it on the neck - against cold and flu. Do not
use an overdose!
For internal use: 4-6
g a day; it might produce hyper-blood pressure, digestion
disturbance, difficult breathing. - For adults: an
overdose of 17 g produces paralysis of the nervous centres, coma
and death.
