CATNIP
(Nepeta cataria)

Catnip is dedicated to Bast, the Egyptian cat-goddess, and Egyptians used to say it had increased joy, agreement and living force.
Catnip is used for tea - you should drink it in the evening, since it enables good dreams, by relaxing tired nerves. The tea also soothes swellings and stops stomach pains caused by cold and flu. It grows the menstruation flood and it should not be consumed by pregnant women. [Water ++]

CAULIFLOWER
(Brassica oleraceaea botrytis)

Cauliflower is a variety of cabbage grown up for its flower: it looks like a bouquet. It became popular in Ancient Greece, where it used to be consumed for freeing feminine energies and for increasing Moon cycle. Their external leaves are used for salads or boiled (under the lid). (Cerasus avium)

Cherries used to be associated to feminine energy and divination; they would be used all over the world for exorcism, for attracting suitors and for foreseeing. The cherry is related with the plum and it has been famous ever since Neolithic era. CHILLI PEPPERS
(Capsicum annuum)

Chili peppers are the fruits of certain tropical plants. They are filled with creative energy. They turn yellow from green and then, red as far as they ripen. CINNAMON
(Cinnamomum zeylanicum)

Cinnamon is an extract of a flavoured tree who is related to laurel. Some consider it improves the spirit and the psychic vision by stimulating chakra of the Crown. The tree must grow up for 8 years until its bark is mature enough to be harvested. Cinnamon oil would be used by Egyptians for mummification. It used to be considered as a sacred oil by Hebrews and they would use it for their rituals. It would be dedicated to the Greek God of Extasy, Dionyssos. If we burn it for its flavour or we add it into the meals, it increases the spiritual energy. This spice is also known for its therapeutic properties: antiseptic and good against toothaches. (Eugenia caryophyllata)

Cloves are the buds of a tree who grows up on mountain slopes. They are used for attracting love and welfare and for psychical protection. (Theobroma cacao)

Cocoa is a powder obtained from dried, half-fermented seeds of the cocoa tree. The seeds are dried out and burnt for obtaining chocolate. Maya people and Aztecs used to consider it a divine drink and drank it with a lot of respect. Actually, the seeds of the cocoa tree would be considered so precious so that Maya people would use them as a trade coin. The chocolate increases the level of emotional energy and induces ecstatic feelings of love by stimulating the chakra of the Heart. This belief is the origin of the custom of offering gifts (consisting in chocolate boxes) to women for winning their hearts. (Coffea arabica)

Coffee had been drinking like a tonic in Arabian countries, ever since 800 A.D. It brings energy and mental sharpness and prevents over-feeding. In Constantinople people would believe it had cleared out human minds. Therefore, the leaders had forbidden its use. Nowadays, coffee-bars are associated to free thinking and radical thinkers.
