and its seeds are considered sacred in Japan. Soy milk is made
out of crushed soy beans into water: "miso" is a
fermented paste of soy used for sauce and garnish; "tofu"
is a clotted filled with of proteins. Lenit has flat beans and it
is originally from India. "Aduki" beans from Japan are
easily digestible, because they are small and have a strong
taste. Western cuisine use many other dips made of these kind of
seeds. Peas have sweet beans and they say they bring luck in love
and welfare. According to traditional beliefs, if you take off
the beans from the pods with your bare hands, you will have luck
in your business; if an unmarried woman finds a pod with 9 beans
and hangs it above the door, the first man who enters her house
would be her husband.
