ANISE 
(Pimpinella anisum)

(Ocimum basilicum)

Basil would be sacred to Greeks and women would not be allowed to pick it up. This plant would cure anger and resentment, encouraging any feeling of love. (Hordeum)

Barley is the oldest of The Seven Sacred Grains of humanity and had been growing in Jordan ever since 10,000 B.Ch. This grain used to be meant for different Indian, Scandinavian and Middle East gods. Because it contains the wisdom of our ancestors, beans help us take any good decision and its fruits are used for foreseeing. In modern times, beans became common food for humans. Soy beans (related to beans) and its seeds are considered sacred in Japan. Soy milk is made out of crushed soy beans into water: "miso" is a fermented paste of soy used for sauce and garnish; "tofu" is a clotted filled with of proteins. Lenit has flat beans and it is originally from India. "Aduki" beans from Japan are easily digestible, because they are small and have a strong taste. Western cuisine use many other dips made of these kind of seeds. Peas have sweet beans and they say they bring luck in love and welfare. According to traditional beliefs, if you take off the beans from the pods with your bare hands, you will have luck in your business; if an unmarried woman finds a pod with 9 beans and hangs it above the door, the first man who enters her house would be her husband.
