Any of the human diseases are a
consequence of psycho-emotional problems caused
by our interaction with the environment or by any trauma we
have suffered and we could have not "healed". In any
other cases, they might occur because of personality flaws which
need to be changed for the good of the spiritual evolution.
We have lately been able to
follow all kinds of therapy which helped us re-create our inner
temper. One of the most thorough and effective therapy
is flower therapy. It
has been discovered by a British doctor, Mr. Bach,
who lived between 1886 –1936. He was a
gifted doctor, bacteriologist and homeopath. Due to his strong sense of observation and special
sensitiveness, he discovered and advanced a therapy system based
on 38 flower essences. Based on his personal dramatic experience,
he realized that his mood and motivation may directly influence
and regenerate our physical health. Therefore, the process of
prevention and healing highlighted the soul, the mind and all
emotions. All these are the main reasons
for us getting ill. Physical problems are the last means of
manifestation of a deeper entropy. The first elements of the
defending mechanisms are weakened by the emotional disorders
or personality flaws. They influence the defending ability of our
body and then, diseases may harm
different features of our “self hood”, not only the
physical body. Any change in someone's behavior, caused by
diseases/illnesses, helps us or any other person
establish a faster recovery. That
could be possible due to the way we
render our healing potential active or increase our immunity.
In his book called “Heal
Thyself”, Dr. Bach used to say that prevention and
curing was possible if we discovered
what was wrong about our feelings and thoughts. They
may improve or heal if we develop our qualities which were
able to destroy that. We should not only fight against evil, but
also create a flux of energy of
opposite quality, which is going to totally destroy it.
Dr. Bach has divided the
flowers into 7 categories:
1. Fear:
Aspen, Cherry Plum, Mimulus, Red Chestnut, and Rock Rose
2.
Uncertainty: Scleranthus, Wild Oat, Cerato,
Hornbeam, Gentian, and Gorse
3. Excessive concern for
our fellows' welfare: Vervain, Vine, Rock water, Beech,
and Chicory
4. Lack of concern for present moment:
Honeysuckle, Clematis, Wild Rose, Chestnut Bud, Olive, Mustard,
and White Chestnut
5. Loneliness: Heather,
Impatients, and Water Violet
6. Excessive sensitivity
facing influences and ideas: Walnut, Centaury, Agrimony,
and Holly
7. Disappointment: Larch, Elm, Oak, Crab Apple,
Pine, Willow, Sweet Chestnut, and Star of Bethlehem
***
1. Agrimony
(Agrimonia Eupatoria) For concerns, mental problems and
hidden suffering. Sociable persons, having the sense
of humor, who are often a good company for their beloved ones. In
order to keep that state of joy, they begin drinking, taking drugs
and eating excessively. They love to be calm and are disturbed by
conflicts and lack of conciliation. In order to avoid that,
they are willing to be very permissive.
2. Aspen (Populus
tremula) Suspicion, fear, anxiety - for unknown reasons. A
few signs: sweat, shaking, nightmares, insomnia, stomach shaking,
and restlessness - panic attacks. Most of the children or
grown-ups who are sensitive and receptive, may suffer from an
Aspen type-fear. That type also comprises the foreboding that
something bad would happen: fear of an evil spirit or something
negative in our nearby.
3. Beech (Fagus
Sylvatica) Intolerance and criticism. The remedy is good
for persons who demand for order and precision, but who also lead
other peoples' lives. Many times they are disturbed by less
obvious gestures, talking manner or behavior. They have mental
sharpness and developed sense for observing, but they use it for
observing negative behavior/features.
4. Centaury
(Centaurium umbellatum) Weak will and servitude. They
are persons who cannot refuse anything, who offer more than they
can and they get exhausted. They copy gestures or
opinions from people with more powerful personalities. They always
help other people and neglect themselves and their mission.
5.
Cerato (Ceratostigma willmottianum) Doubt; they need advice
and verbal agreement from other people, although they are able to
think and act for themselves. They talk too much, ask many
questions, they are "hungry" for information and knowledge, but they
do not use it because they lack in self-confidence (to take their own
decisions).
6. Cherry Plum (Prunus
Cerasifera) Fear of nervous breakdowns or losing
control. They have irrational thoughts, they are frightened by
what they might do. If they reach extreme boundaries, they become
hysterical, violent and have suicidal thoughts. Because the
tension they live in, they are afraid of getting mad, they suffer
from nervous breakdowns and end up in a mental hospital.
7. Chestnut Bud (Aesculus
Hippocastanum) They are unable to learn from past
mistakes or experience. They repeat their mistakes and try to
forget about unpleasant experience as fast as possible. They may
look naive or absent-minded. They are usually very hasty and do
not do anything without thinking about it first.
8.
Chicory (Cichorum intybus) Possessiveness; they have a
dominating behavior. They have the tendency to control their
beloved ones. They wait for rewards in exchange for their love, or
anytime they help somebody. They may get easily harm,
they find hard to forget or forgive. They are able to love a lot
and be unconditionally devoted to people.
9. Clematis
(Clematis vitalba) They are absent-minded and dreamy. They
have no interest for the present time, they live in the past,
hoping that everything is going to be just fine at a certain
point. They look in the distance, seem dreamy and pensive. They
have to sleep a lot. Their memory is weak and they can easily
faint. All that occurs because they need to escape from the real
world (unaware urge). They do not feel like home in the real
world.
10. Crab Apple (Malus pumila) They feel
they do a lot of sins. They are excessively or exclusively
concerned with details. They feel they are not pure, guilty and
begin hating themselves. They are self-conscious or unsatisfied
with the way they look or think. They are concerned with tidiness
or external and internal purity.
11. Elm (Ulmus
procera) They are very responsible. They are intelligent
and may become real leaders, but there comes a time when they
doubt their abilities.
12. Gentian (Gentiana
amarella) Disappointment or lack of courage because
of failure.
13. Gorse (Ulex europaeus) They
have no hope and they become desperate. They have no longer the
desire and the energy to struggle. They might suffer from chronic
disease. They do not hope for recovery, but other people might
convince them the exact opposite.
14. Heather
(Calluna vulgaris) For thoughts and concerns focused on
their own person. They generally talk a lot about their own
interest and problems. They need to be listened by a lot of
people, because they depend on peoples' affection. They feel
lonely.
15. Holly (Ilex aquifolium) Hatred,
envy, suspicion, and revenge. People spiritually evolved need this
remedy. Their positive potential represents the strong love, which
helps them understand human emotions and enables them to enjoy
other people's success.
16. Honeysuckle (Lonicera
caprifolium) Wishful behavior; home sickness or longing
for a beloved person. They live in the past
and talk about it very much. They even consider it an ideal and
have the secret desire to live it once again.
17.
Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus) The feeling of "Monday
morning", lethargy and laziness. Their tiredness is caused by
their emotions. They postpone important things. They often wake up
more tired than the other day. They cannot start work without
drinking coffee, tea or a tonic drink.
18.
Impatients (Impatients glandulifera) Impatience,
irritability; they expect things to go faster and in a common way.
They get irritated whenever things go slow or people work too
slowly. Therefore, they prefer working alone. They are very
spontaneous, active, energetic and independent.
19.
Larch (Larex decidua) They are not self-confident and
feel less evolved than other people. They admire other people and
consider they are not able to be successful. They do not try doing
new things because they wrongly consider they cannot be
successful.
20. Mimulus (Mimulus guttatus)
They get suspicious everyday, for some unreal
reasons. They fear going to the dentist, taking the lift, being
alone, having no money, etc. They are afraid of dogs, birds,
exams, etc. They are shy, they immediately blush when they are in
the spotlight or watched. They fear talking and to do something in
public.
21. Mustard (Sinapis arvensis)
Important
mental distress without any real reason. They cannot hide their
real emotions since they are very intensive.
22.
Oak (Quercus robur) Exhaustion; they are courageous
and struggle. Sometimes, they cannot agree that things cannot
change or they are not aware of their limits and they get
exhausted.
23. Olive (Olea europanea) Tiredness,
lack of energy; convalescence; they get exhausted because of an
intensive or long activity: studying, physical activities, or
psychic tiredness.
24. Pine (Pinus
Silvestris) Deep feeling of guilt; it might occur when they
are not guilty for what had happened.
25. Red
Chestnut (Aesculus carnea) Exaggerated fear and concern for
other people's welfare, especially for their beloved ones.
26.
Rock Rose (Helianthemum nummularium) Intensive fear,
panic attacks, or terror.
27. Rock water (Aqua
Petra) It is the only different remedy. Those who
need it, have higher standards: they wish being
a living example for their company. When they cannot reach
their own standards, they suffer from self-denial and reprimand
themselves. It can also get to illiberal thinking or
fanaticism.
28. Scleranthus (Scleranthus
annus) Indecision; they vacillate amongst
alternatives. They consider decision-making difficult. Yet, they
do not reveal their thoughts to other people. Their opinions or
moods may change from one moment to another.
29.
Star of Bethlehem (Ornithogalum umbrellatum) Shock, trauma,
and long suffering.
30. Sweet Chestnut (Castanea
sativa) Broken heart; they are close to dispair, they
feel they have touched the limit of their suffering, and give up
any hope. Yet, they hide their mental agony and do not have
suicidal tendencies.
31. Vervain (Verbena
officinalis) Tension, frustration; exaggerated
enthusiasm for a reason or an ideal. They do not feel good about
it or protest against injustice. They wish
for bringing up arguments or convincing people. They find hard
understand other people's points of
view.
32. Vine (Vitis vinifera) Dominating,
inflexible, stressing and powerful. They try imposing their
opinions or behavior on people, no matter the consequences.
33.
Walnut (Juglans regia) They are self-protective to
any change or external influence. The remedy is good for all ages,
because it involves important change: teeth growing, the beginning
of teenage times, pregnancy, menopause, the final stage of chronic
disease.
34. Water violet (Hottonia Palustris)
For calm, seemingly distant or proud people, but who actually need
privacy or do not stand other people involved in their lives. It is as good remedy
when wanting to be on their own and need comfort.
35.
White Chestnut (Aesculus Hippocastanum) Repeated,
undesired, obsessive thoughts, and excessive concern. Mental
communication with different persons. Mental hyper-activity - the
reason for which they find hard focusing in daily life and have
insomnia.
36. Wild Oat (Bromus ramosus) Meant
for people who are not certain about the
way they choose to live their life. They are gifted, they wish
doing something important, but they have no idea of what that
might be. Therefore, they do not feel satisfied, they are bored
and frustrated.
37. Wild Rose (Rosa
canina) Resignation, apathy, lack of self-motivation or
joy. They seem "bored" of their life, but they are not
unhappy. They often feel tired and lacking in energy.
38.
Willow (Salix vitellina) Hidden resentment, self-grief and
self-pity. They are always complaining and blame other people for
