Balanced nourishment -
fruits
We should eat at least five fruits a day: peaches,
plums, melons, pears, etc. They all contain fibers and we
recommend them in case of constipation, colon cancer, heart and
blood disease because they decrease the level of cholesterol.
Fruits contain C vitamin, potassium, calcium, magnesium and
therefore, they have anti-oxidation properties, prevent aging or
diseases such as Alzheimer and Parkinson.
Potassium is
contained in pears, peaches or plums and regulates arterial
circulation and an appropriate activity of the nervous system.
Late studies proved that pears have a positive result on the
central nervous system, especially the brain, because they also
contain boron.
Eat fruits between the meals because meat, cooked
food or cakes are difficult to digest; apples, pears, plums should
not be eaten together with other food for breakfast, lunch or
dinner. If you combine the two types of food, they both begin
fermenting. Therefore, they produce digestion disorders,
distension or indigestion. People who suffer from irritable colon
or effervescent colitis, should drink fresh fruit juice.
Weight diet For any weight diet,
fruits are an excellent remedy because they have two essential
properties: they contain little calories and prevent the sensation
of hunger. They should be eaten while fresh. If they are cooked,
they lose vitamins, enzymes, etc. If we add sugar to fruit juice,
they make us get fat. But, beware and do not eat only fruits.
They contain vitamins and minerals but our body also needs
proteins and lipids as well as carbo-hidrates and food fibres.
Therefore, eat also cereals and vegetables or eggs, milk products,
fish, etc.
Peaches - if you eat
them regularly, they decrease blood pressure, prevent cancer and
improve male fertility. - 100 gr of peaches contain 33
calories, 1 gr of food fibers, 160 mg of potassium, 30 mg of
vitamin C, 58 mg of carotene and 7 mg of calcium. Due to
the fact they contain a lot of vitamin C, peaches prevent
gingivitis. A peach contains almost 8% of food fibers/daily cure.
They decrease the level of cholesterol and prevent heart and blood
circulation disorders.
Water melon -
100 gr of melon contain 30 calories, 92 gr of water, 6.5 gr of
glucid, 73 g of potassium, 11 mg of magnesium, 8 mg of
phosphorous, 10 mg of calcium and 20 mg of carotene. Due to the
increased quantity of water it contains, melon stimulates toxin
elimination, has diuretic properties and we highly recommend it to
people suffering from kidney stones, gout, etc. Our daily diet
lacks in potassium but water melon contains an increased level of
sodium. Potassium improves the activity of the nervous and
cardio-vascular system.
Pears - 100 gr of pears contain
40 calories, 0.3 gr of proteins, 7 gr of fructose, 2 gr of food
fibers, 150 mg of potassium and 7 mg of vitamin C. They also
contain the sweetest natural sugar - fructose. Due to that, pears
are perfect for people suffering from diabetes. They do not
overwork the pancreas to produce increased quantities of insulin
on short-term. It is among the few aliments which does not
produce allergy; children can eat it without any risk. A pear
ensures 20% of the daily dose of food fibers.
Melon
It contains less sugar than water melon, but a lot of
carotene. It has strong anti-oxidant properties. - 100 gr of
melon contain 27 calories, 90 gr of water, 1 gr of proteins, 5 gr
of glucid, 0.9 gr of food fibers, 14 mg of sodium, 320 gr of
potassium, 20 mg of magnesium, 19 mg of calcium and 2,000 micro
grams of carotene. It is difficultly to digest therefore, it
should not be mixed with other fruits or sugar. It has diuretic
and laxative properties and it is recommended in case of
constipation, haemorrhoids, gout and rheumatism.
Plums
- 100 gr of plums contain 50 calories, 12 gr of glucid,
2 gr of food fibers, 330 mg of potassium, 25 gr of calcium, 135
micro grams of beta carotene. They produce a lot of energy. They
also reduce constipation. We recommend them in case of iron lack.
Once you grow old, the body loses its ability to annihilate free
radicals, who produce most of the diseases. They also contain many
anti-oxidant substances who destroy free radicals.
