Hazelnuts
The hazelnut tree is a small bush. It
grows near forests, where there is moist and loose soil. The
fruits contain a lot of nutritive and calories, almost equal to
those contained in the meat. But they are easier to assimilate and
less toxic. It contains vitamins - A, B1, B2, C - and minerals -
iron, phosphorus, potassium and calcium. The fruits should not be
fried or else they lose their healing properties. They are a
perfect remedy in case of: - anemia: they contain iron and are
perfect for people suffering from anemia, haemolysis anemia or
over-weight people. - post-haemorrhage anemia: they
improve blood coagulation. They are perfect for women suffering
from anemia during menstruation, caused by serious blood loss. -
growth: they contain calcium, potassium,
phosphorus, etc., which are perfect for stimulating growth. It
also improves the bone system and enables brain maturity; use it
against rickets, anemia or puberty disorders. - diabetes: they
contain calories and less carbon-hydrates (less than 15%); they do
not increase the level of glycemia; they are ideal for people
suffering from diabetes since it decreases the level of
cholesterol. Remember and do not fry them. - damaged hair: 2
teaspoons of sliced leaves and 50-100 gr of green hazelnuts/day
improve hair strength. - kidney stones: hazelnuts, hazelnut oil
and juniper (Juniperus communis) and rowan tree (Vaccinium vitis
idaea) tea. They all dissolve kidney and bladder stones. -
pregnancy: 20 hazelnut fruits eaten every morning and evening:
they contain vitamins and minerals and produce energy. -
tuberculosis or lung disease: they can be easily assimilated; they
produce energy and vitality: 150-200 gr/day.
Remember!
- hazelnut oil: process it by pressing and not boiling it.
You cannot store it for too long, but it is perfect for curing
serious diseases. One teaspoon of oil in the evening and another
in the morning, for 15 days - it eliminates tape-worm. If taken on
daily basis, oil protects the throat from infections and decreases
hypertension: one teaspoon every morning and evening, before
eating. - crushed or ground hazelnuts - powder; we can mix it
with honey and basil and we get a tasty tonic powder. Use it
especially for children's diet.
