Other cure
Stomach aches or burns
- eat almonds: 5-10 almonds/day will
stop stomach pains. They contain some oil which
protects the stomach mucous membrane, and the proteins in its
seeds are combined with chlorate-acid and prevent any pain. -
fresh carrot juice (do not boil it) or potato juice - 2 glasses a
day.
Aerophagia and distention - vegetal
carbon: it absorbs toxins, makes deposits of bacteria and
intestinal gas and eliminates them naturally. - tarragon
infusion - use it with any food or make an infusion and drink it
after meals. Boil one teaspoon into a cup of water and let it cool
off or 10 minutes. - angelica wine - take one litre of common
wine, soak 30 g of angelica root, a teaspoon of cinnamon, ground
cardamen and a piece of clover. Let it soak for 20 days then,
filter and keep it in a bottle. Drink a small glass, before main
meals. Or: angelica brandy - soak 40 g of root, 1/3
natural plum brandy and 2/3 spring water. Filter it and add 200 g
of honey. - dill seeds - prepare an infusion of one teaspoon of
dill seeds, boil them into a cup of water and drink it after
meals. Let it cool off 10 minutes before drinking it. - balm
mint for nervous people - when nervousness and anxiety disturb
your digestion, prepare balm mint infusion (one teaspoon of plant
into one cup of boiling water). Let it cool for 10 minutes then,
drink it. One cup after any main meal. - caraway infusion - it
prevents stomach gas and aerophagia: boil a teaspoon of seeds into
a cup of water, let it cool for ten minutes and drink it after
each meal.
Intestinal colic - tarragon
brandy: doe some syrup from 200 g sugar and 1/2 liter of water;
let it cool off and add 1/2 liter of alcohol (45 degrees). Also
add a handful of leaves and stems. Let it soak for 45 days. Drink
a small glass of brandy against painful spasms. It also clams down
menstrual pains.
Difficult digestion - rosemary
wine: take 150 g of fresh leaves or 40 g of dry leaves into a
bottle of 750 ml. Pour some white (even diuretic) or red wine.
Seal the bottle and let the mixture soak for 15 days, shaking it
from time to time. Drink a small glass after main
meals.
Springtime anemia - garden sorrel
root: against anemia (it absorbs iron from the soil). Prepare a
decoction from one teaspoon of root and boil it into one cup of
water, for 5 minutes. Filter it, drink two cups a day: before
breakfast and dinner. - horse radish - recommended for children
suffering from rickets. Boil 10-15 g of root (sliced), into half
litre of water and let it boil for 10 minutes. Drink 3-4 cups a
day. Or you can slice the root, put it into a jar and pour sugar
on it. Seal the jar and let the product soak. Drink one teaspoon
of syrup a day (for children).
Breathing problems -
pine fruits decoction: put 3-4 spoons of pine
or fir fruits into a litre of water and let them soak for an hour.
Boil the mixture for 3-4 minutes. Cover the pot with a lid and let
the product steam for 10 minutes. Filter it and drink three cups a
day.
Crises of asthma - garlic tonic drink -
slice garlic and let it soak for 15 days, into three litres of
brandy. Shake it everyday. Filter it through a piece of lint. In
case of serious pains, soak a piece of sugar into the brandy and
suck it slowly. - liver worm infusion (Agrimonia
eupatoria) - boil one teaspoon of plant into a cup of water and
let it under steam for ten minutes. Drink a cup/day. It calms down
any pain. Warning: do not use
it in case of constipation. - mullein infusion -
boil one teaspoon of plant into a cup of water. Let the infusion
steam for 10 minutes then, filter it. Drink 3-4 cups/day. Filter
the tea through a piece of lint because it has small hairs which
might harm the esophagus. - inhale mint steams - in order to
clear out bronchitis, inhale mint steams. Put one handful of
leaves into a basin, pour some boiling water and breath in the
vapors. Be careful so that you should not harm or burn yourself.
You can also add 4-5 drops of mint oil, besides the leaves.
Bronchitis - cabbage or onion
syrup - slice one onion and mix it with 2-3 cabbage leaves. Pour
on some sugar and let it soak for 48 hours. Take one teaspoon of
syrup everyday. - violet syrup - take 100 g of flowers (dried
or fresh), mix it with 400 g of honey, 300 ml of water; let it
boil until it becomes syrup. Filter it and keep it in cool place.
Take 2-3 teaspoons in the evening. - onion decoction -
slice three or four onions, boil them for 10
minutes, into a litre of water. Filter it and drink it all
during one day (small glasses). - savory bath - boil 400 g of
savory into 4 litres of water, for 3-4 minutes. Filter it and pour
it into hot water (bathtub).
Springtime flu -
hot nail drink - boil some water; take a nail (3 cm long) and heat
it in fire. Fill half a glass with hot water, add a pill of
aspirin and two teaspoons of rum. Mix it and add 9 cloves. When
the nail turns red, take it out carefully and put it into the
liquid. Take it out and drink the liquid, bit by bit. Go to bed
and cover with a blanket till you sweat. Repeat the procedure if
needed. - hot cinnamon wine - boil a bottle of red wine,
add 15 g of cinnamon, 5 pieces of sugar and a few slices of lemon.
Drink half bottle during one day: into 4
helpings. Drink it three days in a row. If the are still cold,
take a cure based on apples. Eat only 500 g-1 kilo sliced apples,
2-3 days in a row.
Springtime cold - mustard
bath (feet) - mix 150 g of mustard flour and a little cold water.
Let it mix for a quarter of an hour, add the paste into 4 litres
of warm water (38 degrees). Pour it into a basin and get your feet
in. The temperature should not exceed 40 degrees, or else the
mustard will lose its properties. - horse radish cataplasms:
slice the root and use it for cataplasms (on your chest).
Eyesight problems - dill - It is useful
against conjunctivitis and swollen eye-lids. Make an infusion of
smashed dill seeds, put the powder into a pot and pour hot water.
Cover your head with a towel and bow your head onto the pot.
Inhale the vapours in for10 minutes. - pumpkin pulp: if
you suffer from conjunctivitis, take pumpkin pulp, mix it and make
cataplasms. Keep your eyes closed. - rye flour: mix them and
put it on your eyes. Conjunctivitis will be cured.
